Comments: The value for the money is great - with only a tiny amount of dye the nuclei in our cardiomyocytes in the engineered heart tissue samples were stained in a high quality. We used it for an immunofluorescence staining of the whole-mount tissue, which worked out fine. We can highly recommend it.

Comments: DRAQ-5 is really easy to use for visualization of nuclei during immunofluorescence analysis. For simple samples (cells in monolayers) it is great. However, for samples with many layers it does not penetrate all layers equally. For that reason, such "difficult" samples are not reproductive in 100%.

Comments: This has enabled us to do experiments that were not otherwise possible before. Not only is it a much cleaner signal than other viability dyes, but the fact that it is non-toxic has enabled us to do time courses with the same samples. We have performed 3D spheroid experiments over a 4week period, reading plates every 72hours with zero toxicity! It therefore saves us large amounts of money that would have been spent on ending experiments at each time point using toxic dyes. Highly Recommended!

Comments: We have used DRAQ5 frequently for dendritic cells and T cells and epithelial cells nuclear stain. DRAQ5 is an excellent nuclear stain and easy to use compared to DAPI. The price is high but high dilution. So it is worth.

Comments: Very easy to use (one step direct staining), did not work well with cat  blastocyst though - we have no explanation why.  Very stable (at least 6 weeks in refrigerator after mounting on slides). It took some time to order to Sweden (through middle steps, not sure if we used the right channels). Equivalent to Hoechst or DAPI but more expensive. Excellent for our confocal that does not have a blue laser.

Comments: The greatest characteristic of DRAQ7 is Ease of Use. Short incubation time (~10 min) and excitation by near-infrared wavelength allow us to sort and eliminate dead cells in flow cytometric analysis easier. This dye also has good performance considering its low price.
