Comments: DRAQ5 is a good staining to see nucleus in liver cells and tissues. It is efficient in both  paraffin-embedded and OCT-frozen tissue sections. It is easy to use and the results are excellent.

Comments: We used DRAQ5 to label the nuclei of live adult rat ventricular myocytes (see Weeks et. al. β-Adrenergic Stimulation Induces Histone Deacetylase 5 (HDAC5) Nuclear Accumulation in Cardiomyocytes by B55α-PP2A-Mediated Dephosphorylation. Journal of the American Heart Association. 2017 6(4)). We labelled the cells with 1 uM DRAQ5 for 10 minutes prior to imaging, which was lower than the recommended concentration, but it fluoresced nicely.
