Comments: Excellent and reliable staining of the nuclei! The only drawback is that sometimes it stains more than just the nuclei. It helped with the cell counting program.

Manufacturer's response: Thank you for your review of DRAQ5. DRAQ5 does have a useful weak secondary staining of the cytoplasm which HCS labs use to segment the cell envelope, by increasing the gain. An unwanted inversion staining (“hollow” nuclei) is a consequence of too low a concentration of DRAQ5. We strongly recommend 5 uM for fixed cells and 5-10 uM for live cells. We would be very happy to discuss this and troubleshoot the issue to try to resolve it.
